Teaching a toddler body parts is simple and fun. You will feel so proud when your toddler starts naming off body parts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make it fun. Sing, dance and make a game out if. Toddlers learn best when they are having fun. They will be more engaged and involved.

  2. Step 2

Review often. Repetition is the best way to learn. Review the body parts several times a day. When you are reading, brushing their teeth and at the dinner table are great times to practice the body parts. Say things like I I chew my food with my teeth. I jump up and down with my legs. Those sort of things really help a toddler.

  3. Step 3

Make a book. Toddlers like to do this. Find pictures in magazines, cut them out an glue them to construction paper. Staple the pages together and write arrows to the body parts in the pictures. Toddlers learn from real life pictures.

  4. Step 4

Give praise. If you have a toddler you probably know that toddlers will repeat anything they have gotten good praise for.
