Save Money on Laundry Day
Save Money on Laundry Day

If you live in an apartment, you may need the services of a laundromat. A laundromat is a place full of washers an dryers that you pay to laundry your clothes and to dry your clothes. The laundromat now uses debit and credit cards as well giving the patrons what is called a laundry card. These laundromat are normally higher than the coin laundry so it is best to stay with the latter. Save money by using the usual coin laundry instead of the ones that accepts debit and credit cards.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Step One: Sort your clothes in a laundry basket of light and dark clothes. You save money if you use a hamper instead of laundry basket. You save money when you use only one container instead of two containers. Place heavier fabric clothes such as jeans in a laundry basket as there will have to take longer to dry and should not be with the lighter fabric clothes. If you are industrious and can train yourself and your family, have them place their dark and light clothes in the appropriate hampers as they change their clothes daily. Using this method means that all you have to do on laundry day is to cart the hampers and the baskets of clothes to the laundromat.

  2. Step 2

Step Two: Use the large industrious type washers if you load huge amounts of laundry at one time which by the way is recommended to save money. If you only have one wash day a month, you save on gas going to and from the laundromat. If you laundry once a month, your clothes will fill the large washers normally used for large comforters or heavy room size carpets.

  3. Step 3

Step Three: Save money by using the tore brand detergent that has bleach money. When you purchase the name brand detergents, you are deceiving yourself and believing advertisements. You are in fact paying for the numerous media ads when you purchase the name brand detergent and may think that the clothes are cleaner. Clean and clean and can be accomplished with store brand detergent. The liquid detergent is better as it dissolves and clans without leaving soap heavy deposits on the clothes. So save yourself some money by sorting the clothes using the hamper instead of laundry baskets, laundry less frequently at about once a month minimal, and do not use name brand detergents.
