Things You'll Need:
- Potatoes
- Onions
- Cabbage
- Green beans
- Kidney beans
- Celery
- Butter
- Olive oil
- Parmesan cheese
- Garlic
- Cream
- Corkscrew pasta
- Salt and pepper

Step 1
In a large pot or dutch oven, cook all together for about ten minutes; three medium-sized potatoes, sliced, three small onions, chopped, one forth head of cabbage, half pound green beans, three quarts of boiling water, and one tablespoon of salt.

After cooking for ten minutes, add one forth pound of corkscrew pasta and cook fifteen minutes longer. Add one medium can of kidney beans, one cup of chopped celery and cook until the celery is tender.

Step 3
To make the base for this minestrone soup, in a small bowl, cream three tablespoons of butter and three tablespoons of olive oil together in a bowl. Stir in three tablespoons of parmesan cheese, one small clove of garlic, minced, and seasonings. Slowly add one forth cup of cream and stir this mixture into the soup. Cook about ten to fifteen minutes longer and serve. Makes about 6 to 8 servings.
