Step 1
The first step to creating an eBook is picking a topic. The topic should be something you know a lot about, or at least something you are interested in and don't mind doing a lot of research for. Also narrowing your topic is important you want your book to be focused and provide the reader with useful information.
-
Step 2
Next do a ton of research this step is key; you want to give your readers accurate information. Also by supporting your points with references or giving varying points of view, you will look more credible.
-
Step 3
Now that you have done your home work it is time to begin putting you book together. Personally I prefer to sub divide my topic into articles this way everything is more organized and I write each article one at a time. This is just a personal preference but I feel it makes the process less overwhelming. So my process breaks down as follows: the table of contents, introduction, each article, and finally a conclusion that ties everything together.
-
Step 4
When you book is complete it is time to figure out how you want to publish it. This step varies depending on what the purpose of you eBook is. For me I like to sell my eBooks at a low price so I publish through websites like lulu or click bank. If publishing through a site such as these you will need to convert your eBook into a format like pdf; which can usually be done at little to no cost. Depending where you chose to publish you book it may be necessary to create a website to show case you newly created eBook.
-
Step 5
Finally enjoy your new creation and promote it everywhere, the only way to get readers to view your work is to first find them and draw them in. Use things like forums, social bookmarking sites, and links in emails to show your book to everyone on the internet.
