How to Get Beautiful Bold Lips
Bold lips aren't just for Hollywood. Although this look has long been around, it will never go out of style as long as women want to make a statement or go out for a night on the town. Just remember that when you wear bold lips, you want to tone down the rest of your makeup for a balanced look. Things You'll Need
- Lip scrub
- Lip balm or primer
- Lip liner, nude tone
- Lipstick, matte dark color
- Lip brush (optional)

Smooth your lips using a lip scrub. Gently scrub to remove any dead skin and get them soft and smooth.

Moisturize your lips with a hydrating lip balm or primer. Apply it all over your lips and allow it to penetrate for a few minutes before proceeding.

Outline your lips using a creamy nude-toned lip pencil. Trace the edge of your lips using easy light strokes, then fill in the entire lip area to help prevent the lipstick you are going to apply from feathering or bleeding.

Apply your chosen bold color of lipstick using a stiff nylon lipstick brush to apply it perfectly. You can also just apply it normally if you do not have a brush.

Tips & Warnings
If your lipstick is not matte, then blot it with a tissue. Any gloss, shine or shimmer will lessen the effect of a bold color.
Only use bold colors that complement your skin tone. If you have fair skin, choose lipsticks with blue undertones, such as a classic fire-engine red. If you have darker skin, go for lipsticks with orange undertones, such as brick red.
