Razor burn is very painful. Razor burn is not just due to sensitive skin, it can be the result of a dull razor, pressing down hard on the razor as you are shaving, shaving without lubrication or a host of other reasons. Whatever the reason for razor burn, it hurts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Swab the razor burned area with honey to ease the pain of razor burn. Honey will take the sting out of razor burn and promote healing. Apply the honey to any razor burned areas and let stay for about 10 minutes or so, rinse with cool water.

  2. Step 2

Use apple cider vinegar as an after shave to ease the burn. Dib a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply over the entire shaved area. Let the apple cider vinegar stay on, as it dries the vinegar smell will disappear.

  3. Step 3

Rinse your face with baking soda and water after you shave. Mix about 2 tablespoons of baking soda into a small bowl of cool water and rinse the entire shaved area. Let the baking soda and water stay on the shaved area for a couple of minutes then splash with plain water.

Tips & Warnings
  • To avoid razor burn, use olive oil rather than shaving cream to help your razor glide.
