Insert an ice cube into the bunny's back, and VOILA! ...a soft, adorable ice pack for lil bumps and bruises!

This is a suitable craft to make with a group of children or seniors. Or, whip one up yourself when your child suffers a sudden tumble! The project is quick and easy, the materials required are few and inexpensive, making this a good bazaar / fundraising item!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • washcloth (the thinner type work better than plush)
  • 8 inch piece of ribbon, no wider than 1/2 inch
  • rubber band
  • ice cube
  1. Step 1

Lay washcloth flat. Fold two opposite corners in toward center, according to diagram.

  2. Step 2
Roll both folded sides in towards the center.

Roll both folded sides in towards the center.

Beginning with one folded side, roll the entire width of washcloth in toward center (refer to diagram). Repeat with other side.

  3. Step 3
Fold in half, rolled part on the inside, so pointed edges of washcloth touch.

With rolled side facing in, fold washcloth in half according to image.

  4. Step 4
Fold in half again. Position rubber band about 1/3 way to form the bunny's head and ears.

Fold in half again. Position rubber band about 1/3 way to form the bunny's head and ears.

Fold in half one more time. Position a rubber band around about 1/3 of the 'bunny' to form head and ears (refer to photo). Tie your ribbon around the rubber band. Your boo-boo bunny is completed!
In the unfortunate case that an accident occurs, insert an ice cube into the opening in the body to make a soft, cushy ice pack.

Tips & Warnings
  • This bunny is completely washable between 'injuries'. Simply remove rubber band and ribbon prior to washing.
  • Moveable eyes and/or a pom-pom tail may be added, but may fall off in the wash cycle, and are often not suitable for small children.
