Things You'll Need:
- 3/4 cup bacon grease, divided
- 5 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup low sodium beef broth
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1
Grease a cookie sheet with 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix well the remaining bacon grease with whole wheat flour, beef broth, milk, and garlic [** see garlic note in Step 5]. Work it into a dough. Whisk eggs in a bowl, then add it to the above flour mixture.

Lightly flour your hands and roll dough into several-sized balls [1/2" to 2"] to make them more interesting. Flatten the balls into round flats.

Place the flat rounds 1" apart on the greased baking sheet. Position rack in the middle of the oven, place baking sheet on the middle rack and bake biscuits on 350 degrees F for 22-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Store unused portion in a jar; use a resealable bag if freezing them. Place in the refrigerator for up to a days, and no more than one year in the freezer. Make sure you put a on a date label for the biscuits.
** Garlic is good in preventing flea and tick infestation. Large quantities of raw garlic is poisonous to pets, but it will not affect your dog of the tiny garlic powder amount used in this recipe.
