Step 1
Browse the stationary isle at Target or the Wedding Isle at a Micheal's Craft Store for wedding invitation kits. Choose a style that best suits your own personal tastes and the style of your wedding. The safest bet is to choose something classy and timeless looking. Purchase as many kits as needed to make the correct amount of wedding invitations.

If you don't have a cute picture of you and your fiance, schedule a photoshoot with a photographer who will give you rights to print the photos yourself, or with a friend or family member who is decent with the camera. Head outside and take some engagement portraits.

Have your favorite engagement portrait printed out at your local i hour photo and get as many copies as wedding invitations.

Start assembling your wedding invitations. Open your kit and follow the instructions for setting up the printer and formatting the text on the computer so it prints properly onto the invitation. Print a test copy, check for any errors or mistakes and have at least 2 other people check it as well. Then once everything is in correct working order, print the rest of your invitations.

Then with the help of family or friends, assemble your homemade wedding invitations according to the design, there is usually instructions as well as a finished sample in the box to work from. Insert your engagement portrait into each invitations as well as any inserts for gift registries.
