Instructions

1
Purchase 3 sections of canvas from your local craft store. It has to be the boxed canvas.
-
2
Locate a piece of driftwood, either from a local craft store, or a beach, that will fit the length of the 3 sections of canvas that you'll be using.
-
-
3
Purchase nautical ceramic bisque for the center of your plaque. The photo shows dolphins, which were purchased on ebay by doing a search for "ceramic bisque dolphin plaque".
-
4
Gather up all your seashells from the beach, or they can be purchased at craft stores, as well, and choose which ones you want to be inserted on your plaque.
-
5
Choose your colors, using acrylic paint to match your decor, and sponge or splatter your colors on the 3 sections of canvas.
-
6
Once the paint is dry, attach the 3 pieces of canvas by inserting small screws in the backside of the canvas, aligning the screws up with the frames of the canvas squares.
-

At this point, before you go any further, this is the best time to add your wire-hanging kit to the backside of your plaque. You don't know want to be banging on the back to attach the wire hanging kit after you add every thing to the front side.
-
8
Attach your driftwood, also using screws on the backside. These will obviously have to be much larger screws than the ones you used for attaching the canvas pieces together. Some people use nails when attaching the canvas and driftwood, however, I chose to use screws.
-
9
Use the hot glue gun to attach your shells, dried plants, silk flower heads, and fishing net, to the driftwood. Use a two-stage epoxy to glue the dolphins to the canvas.
-
10
You can pretty much use your own imagination, as to where you want to place your items
