Things You'll Need:
- thawed bratwursts
- large cooking pot
- 1 six pack beer
- 1 medium white or yellow onion
- grilling tongs
-
Step 1
Place the thawed bratwurst in the cooking pot. Pour in the beer until the brats are covered. I don't drink so I like to use non-alcoholic beer. Dice and add the onion.
-
Step 2
Bring the brats to a slow boil on the kitchen stove. Cook for about 20 minutes until cooked (the brats will turn a light gray color through and through).
-
Step 3
Remove the brats from the pan and transfer to your pre-heated grill. The brats are already cooked, so you're only going to brown them up on the grill. Once on the grill, turn the brats frequently until browned to your personal taste. This should take 10 minutes or so.
-
Step 4
I like to serve the brats on hot dog buns that are lightly browned on the grill. You may want to prepare a side dish of kraut for your guests to add to the brats. Consider offering your guests yellow and brown mustard and maybe some chopped raw onion for garnishment.

on 10/4/2009 How to Grill beer bratwursts mmmmmmmm 5*/rec I ALWAYS boil brats first, they split very easy if not. Never heard of doing it with beer, the people I saw try to make beer brats were pouring it all over their grill... Not too great, this sounds much better and worth trying, flavor without the mess. How to Grill beer bratwursts great addition! Please check out performance tune computer article to keep your computer running in top shape!
