How to use an online Migraine Diary

The traditional method of keeping a migraine diary (pen and paper) is great for tracking potential migraine triggers, but not for reporting on that data.

Web-based migraine diaries can generate instant reports and graphs of your migraines based on sleep changes, mood ratings, dietary and environmental triggers, as well as time and weather cycles.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An account on MigraineLiving.com
  1. Step 1
     

    Enter your journal entries as regularly as possible

  2. Step 2
     

    Be as detailed as you can with dietary, environmental and psychological triggers.

  3. Step 3
     

    On migraine days, enter information about the impact and intensity of your migraine, any remedies you tried, and their efficacy.

  4. Step 4

    Keep at it... try to be consistent at journaling your migraines for one month at a minimum. The more entries you provide, the more you will be able to learn about your migraine triggers & patterns.

  5. Step 5
     

    Click on the "Reports" tab at the top of the page for a list of reports
