Many people have no idea that you can Remap what your keys do on your keyboard.

Maybe your laptop has the Windows key in the wrong place or you just want the left shift to be moved down one key.

Whatever the reason might be you can do it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • TradeKeys
  1. Step 1

    First you will need a free utility that PC Magazine offers called TradeKeys.

    Just go to pcmag.com and click on Downloads. They have many useful and neat utilities so enjoy.

  2. Step 2

    After you download the program TradeKeys you simply install it and get ready to change/remap the keys on your laptop or computer.

  3. Step 3

    Open TradeKeys and on one side of the program (Map From:) you select what you want to change and on the other side (Map to:) you select what you want that key to be. Pay attention to what you change and make sure you don't have overlapping keys.
