Are your children's rooms a mess? Do they leave clothes all over the place? It can be frustrating trying to teach your children how to be organized but it is possible. Read on to learn how to organize your children's closets so that you can maximize space.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Install two hanger rods so that one is on top of the other.

Anything that adds extra storage space will help with organizing your children's closet.

  2. Step 2

    Add a simple hanging shelf.

Another option for adding storage space.

  3. Step 3

Use over the door organizers for shoes, socks, toys, legos, or other small items.

  4. Step 4

    Opt for shoe racks.

  5. Step 5

    Have storage bins.

  6. Step 6

    Add low shelves.

  7. Step 7

Use dividers for drawers to separate socks and underwear.

  8. Step 8

Label each drawer or use a picture so that your younger children will remember which drawer is for which clothes.

  9. Step 9

For older children, give them more say. Some might like to organize their dressers by activity, others pants in one, socks in another; or by color.
