How to Find Manufacturer's Coupons for Groceries

Manufacturers' coupons offer consumers an easy way to consistently avoid spending quite so much as the full retail price for grocery products. Such coupons may be obtained from a range of sources, most if not all of which are easily accessible. Anyone with Internet access, for example, should be able to find manufacturers' coupons, and you are likely to encounter at least a few when you shop in a walk-in retail grocery store.

Instructions

1. Purchase a Sunday edition of any newspaper. Examine the "slick" advertising insert package, which typically contain a wide range of manufacturers' coupons.

2. Check any advertising flyer, coupon package or shopper newspapers — those delivered automatically for free.

3. Visit the websites of manufacturers of products you routinely purchase. Many such websites will feature a "Coupons" link.

4. Conduct online searches for coupons. Many websites offer coupons that you may print. Check with customer service or the checkout clerk at the store where you shop to ensure your coupons are acceptable before allowing the items to which they apply to be rung up. Not all stores accept Internet coupons. Some place limits on how many you may use.

5. Look for manufacturers' coupons positioned near the items you want as you shop. Coupon dispensing devices are often placed at eye level on grocery shelves.

6. Check near the grocery store entrance or the customer service center for a shared coupons basket. Some shoppers contribute manufacturers' coupons that they don't need so that others may use them. Place coupons for which you have no use in such baskets for other customers.

Tips & Warnings

• Manufacturer coupons show up in unexpected places...look for coupons attached to products in the store. Some can be used right away at the register, and some offer other incentives for future purchases.

• If your store has coupon dispensers in the aisles, check those as well for additional coupons.
