cleaning your fish tank with ease

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gravel Siphon
  • Algae Scrubber
  • Clean filter replacement
  • water conditioner
  • towels
  • Glass cleaner for aquariums
  1. Step 1

    Gather all nesscary equipment for the task at hand. As well as washing your hands as well to prevent accidental contamination of the tank.

  2. Step 2

    Using gravel siphon which if you have the sink attachment kind please getting ready for use. Bucket kind places towels underneath the bucket before starting. When gravel siphoning take about only half of the tanks water out as you clean the gravel.

  3. Step 3

    While cleaning the gravel take note of any algae on the tanks walls and or ornaments and clean them. taking ornaments out to do so under hot water and no soap! Using your algae scrubber clean the tanks walls as well.

  4. Step 4

    After all the cleaning is done making sure that all the fish are in healthy condition, prep your tank for replacing the water that you just removed. go by the directions on the bottle of your water conditioner before adding the water back to the tank.

  5. Step 5

    After water has been replace any ornaments that were taken out and clean are ready to go back in the tank.

  6. Step 6

    After water and ornaments have been added back, take the aquarium safe glass cleaner and a towel and wipe down the outside of your take!!!

  7. Step 7

    Congratulations you are done and now your fish will have much better water conditions to live in!

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep a towel handy at all time so you won't get to much water on the floor or surrounding areas!
  • Wash anything that you plan to stick into that fish tank, but only with hot water no soap!
  • Wash hands prior to immersing in the tank!
  • Keep a close eye on any catfish you may have in the tank because they may get upset and attack you!
  • keep close eye on all fish so none will jump out!!!
  • No cleaners are required so keep any and all types away!!!
