Why pay high dollar for one of those Redneck windcimes from the chain stores when you can make your own from "junk" laying around the house and garage. Empty beer cans, "churchkey" can openers, empty chew tins, etc. can be used to make your own original redneck windchime.
I will give you instructions to my own version of the Redneck Windchime....

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 empty Busch beer cans
  • 2 old rusty churchkeys (can openers)
  • one Large wrench
  • fishing line
  1. Step 1

Cut three pieces of the fishing line about 24" long. Loop one piece of the fishing line through the pull tab on the Busch Beer can. Tie a knot to secure it. Repeat this step with the other two pieces of fishing line and the other two Busch Beer cans.

  2. Step 2

Cut two pieces of the fishing line about 18" long. Loop one piece of the fishing line through the hole on the end of a church key can opener. Tie a knot to secure it. Repeat this step with the other piece of fishing line and the other Busch Beer can.

  3. Step 3

Alternating the Busch Beer can and the churchkey can opener, secure them with a knot to the Large wrench. Cut one more piece of the fishing line about 24" long and attach it to each end of the wrench. This is the part you will use to hang your new Redneck Windchimes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use your own Redneck imagination! Substitute items you have hanging around the house and garage. Make it original!
  • Warning: You might be a redneck !! < the sunburned necks of those who work outdoors in sunny climates > < a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States >
