1
Decide which songs you would like to learn to sing. Many websites offer free, printable Christmas lyrics. For example, the Better Homes and Gardens website publishes a Christmas Carols printable PDF file with lyrics to 29 different songs.
-
2
Print the Christmas Carols song book (or whatever source you have for songs.) Make your Christmas caroling guide look nice by printing it on decorative holiday or colored paper.
-
-
3
Slide the booklet sheets into the sheet protectors. Use less sheet protectors by placing the sheets back to back and sliding them into place.
-
4
Clip the sheet protectors into the three-ring binder. Make holiday song guides for the rest of your family.
-
5
Purchase a Christmas karaoke CD, or download karaoke mp3 files of the songs chosen. For a free source, try an online Christmas sing-a-long website. These sites will provide you with a musical instrument digital interface (MIDI), which are simplified, digitized songs.
-
6
Use the booklet as a guide when singing along with the karaoke or MIDI. It might be useful to listen to the actual songs first so you get an idea of what the lyrics sound like when paired with the music. Christmas song compact discs can be purchased from stores or downloaded. New holiday CDs from popular artists usually go on sale in late September.

Practice often. The more you sing along using your guide, the more familiar you will become with the lyrics. The guide can be transported easily if needed for a reference. The sheet protectors keep moisture off the paper in case you're singing in snow.
