Use the Internet to quickly apply for a new credit card. With a few minutes of your time, obtain a credit card to help you manage your purchases or transfer a balance. In most cases, you will receive a response with a credit limit instantly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit credit card company web sites to find the right credit card for you. Low APRs, airline miles and other incentives all factor into choosing a credit card.

  2. Step 2

Type in your invitation code if you are responding to a pre-qualified offer, or choose the "apply now" button on your selected credit card company web site.

  3. Step 3

Enter your contact information, social security number, relevant financial information and annual income on the application.

  4. Step 4

Read the terms, conditions and disclosures so you know your rights. It is common to miss important aspects about the credit card, so take this opportunity to learn the terms thoroughly. For instance, many new credit cards restrict incentives or charge for balance transfers.

  5. Step 5

Submit your application once your information is complete and you agree to the terms and conditions. You should receive a response within a few seconds. In some cases, you may have to wait for an e-mail or contact from a representative regarding your application.

  6. Step 6

Write down your credit limit and information regarding your balance transfers, if applicable. You should receive your credit card within a week or two if you are accepted.
