Microsoft Word is a program that can be purchased on its own or as part of a bundle of Microsoft programs. You may be new to the world of Microsoft Word or you might not have used the program for a good amount of time. Fortunately, numerous online Microsoft Word tutorials are online for various versions of the programs. These lessons touch on all aspects of the program and every lesson is free to complete.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Microsoft Office Online tutorials Web page (see Resources). Microsoft offers both audio and text Word lessons. Click either the "Word 2007" or "Word 2003" link on the homepage. Choose from among the different Microsoft Word lesson links that appear.

  2. Step 2

Use the Microsoft Word online lessons located on the Baycon Group website (see Resources). The Baycon Group website lists dozens of Word lessons for various versions of the software program. Begin by selecting your version of Microsoft Word on the right side of the Baycon Group website. Scroll down the page to find links for different lessons. Choose one of the links to begin the tutorial.

  3. Step 3

Find online Microsoft Word lessons on Learn That (see Resources). Learn That separates the lessons by versions of Microsoft Word. There are separate lessons on topics such as "Creating Borders" and "Footnotes and Endnotes." You can also go through full-course Word tutorials on Learn That. Click any of the links to begin that particular lesson.

  4. Step 4

Learn Microsoft Word 2007/2008 via the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire website. The lessons on this site are separated into different categories, such as "Word Basics Series," "Using Word Styles" and "Labels and Envelopes." When you click on one of the lessons, that lesson opens in a new Web page.
