How to Become a Jazzercise Instructor
Jazzercise is a dance fitness program that combines jazz dance, resistance training, kickboxing and other forms of movement into a cardiovascular and body-strengthening workout. Instructors are franchise owners and are responsible not only for teaching the 60-minute classes, but also for building the business. Jazzercise is an international franchise with a network of more than 7,500 instructors, who teach more than 32,000 classes weekly in 32 countries around the world.

Complete the Jazzercise Franchised Instructor Application and submit it to the district manager

Attend a movement screening, where the district manager assesses leadership and movement skills. Following the successful screening, submit proof of CPR certification (or intention to complete CPR certification) and a franchise agreement. Register for the Jazzercise Franchised Instructor workshop. Study materials will arrive by mail.

Study the training materials in preparation for the Jazzercise Franchise Instructor workshop. Potential instructors have two to four weeks to review the material, which includes videos, choreography notes, music and a fitness resource book.

Attend the Franchised Instructor workshop, where future instructors learn and demonstrate Jazzercise routines.

Pass the on-site practical examination and the online health and fitness examination to receive certification.
