1
Cut four triangles from the black felt. They can be as large or small as you like, but they should be the same size. A good way to do this is to draw a pattern to use as a guide.
-
2
Cut two triangles from the cardboard so that they are slightly smaller than the felt triangles. When placed on top of the felt triangle the cardboard should fit in the center with a 1 cm border around it.

3
Place one cardboard triangle in between two felt triangles like a sandwich and glue the pieces together. Repeat with the remaining pieces to create two cat ears.
-
4
Cut two smaller triangles from the pink felt. The pink triangles should be small enough so that when placed in the center of the ears there is a 1/2-inch area of black surrounding the center. Glue a piece of pink felt in the center of each ear.
-
5
Cut a strip of felt that is long enough and wide enough to cover the entire headband. Glue or sew it onto the headband. This will not only make the headband more comfortable, it will be easier to affix the ears.
-
6
Glue or sew the ears on to the top of the headband. Sewing them will make for a more sturdy set of cat ears, but if you are in a hurry glue will do just fine. Leave about 2 or 3 inches of space between the ears.
