Step 1
Nowadays computer can be found every where. We can use it to find almost everything from the smallest issue to the most top secret information. Internet make the computer become super intelligent mind. The computer evolution keep bigger and bigger. It makes the world look so tiny. The evolutions make another bad effect. Viruses can easily spread over the Internet and other networks. Here are the basic steps you can take to help keep your computer as secure as possible.

Step 2
The use of antivirus software, handling e-mail messages with great care (especially when they contain attachments), and careful selection of the Web sites you visit are key to helping you keep your computer more secure. When you do these things, you become a better computer user by taking your computer security into your own hands. You also help prevent the spread of viruses to other computer users.

Step 3
Get Antivirus
You can help protect your computer from viruses by installing and using an antivirus program. The Internet is full of fun places and vast amounts of information, but also some dangers. Your computer can be damaged by a computer virus sent through e-mail or through a program downloaded from the Web. If you do not use antivirus software, you run the risk of passing viruses along to other computers as well. If you administer a network without virus protection software, all of the computers on your network might be vulnerable. There are many antivirus programs on the market. (Advise from me before download make sure it can work with your current windows). -
Step 4
Using Firewall
A firewall helps protect your computer by preventing unauthorized users from gaining access to it through a network or the Internet. It restricts information that comes to your computer from other computers, giving you more control over the data on your computer and providing a line of defense against people or programs (including viruses and worms) that try to connect to your computer without invitation. -
Step 5
Using web folders to transfer folder
Using Web Folders to view and transfer files, folders, and other information to a Web server offers you a more secure computing experience. -
Step 6
Avoid using Sharing files and folders overview
If possible try to avoid sharing folders. When you share files or folders, they are not as protected as they are when you do not share them. People with access to your computer or your network might be able to read, copy, or change files that are in a shared folder. If you still have to share folders make sure you trust the source. I recommend that you use a residential gateway (also called an Internet gateway device, a router, a base station, or an access point) to share an Internet connection. With a gateway, you can share a DSL or cable modem Internet connection among all of the computers on your home or small office network. -
Step 7
Avoid surfing unnecessary website
Try not to surf unnecessary website such as porn, illegal programs etc. It generates a lot of viruses. If you still want to use it make sure you have a very good line of defenses. Always update your antivirus and enable your firewall.
