Whether you are blonde, brunette, redhead; these home remedies will add shine and highlights without breaking the bank.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Natural Blonde highlights

    Option 1: Boil 8oz of water add 6 tea bags of chamomile, let it cool and pour into an 8 oz spray bottle. Shampoo and condition as usual, rinse with cool water. Spray on damp hair and let dry.
    Option 2: Add 6 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 cup of your favorite shampoo, the citric acid will produce highlights, for maximum results add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and spend at least half hour out in the sun. (Don’t forget the sunscreen)

    Natural Brunette Highlights
    Option 1: Crush 10 walnuts and shells into 8 oz of boiling water, let cool and strain shells. Shampoo and condition as usual, spray on to damp hair and let dry. (Use weekly)
    Option 2: For lighter browns use 1 cup of black tea. Pour lukewarm tea into your hair before you shampoo and condition hair. Repeat this for 2-3 days a week. Darker browns can use either coffee or black tea.
    Option 3: Cinnamon will highlight your brown hair and make it smell good too. Apply a thin layer of conditioner to damp hair; add cinnamon over the conditioner so that it makes a paste. Wrap your hair in saran wrap for one hour. You can keep the mixture on all night if you wish, it’s perfectly safe; at sunrise you would have baked yourself some awesome highlights.

    Natural Red Highlights
    Option 1: Boil 10 cups of water with 10 bags of hibiscus tea bags. Let it cool and pour in a spray bottle. Spray on hair that is at least 70% dry do not rise or shampoo hair for 24 hours.
