Learn how to avoid the high prices of green cleaning supplies and naturally clean your sinks without the use of harsh chemicals, with the use of everyday household items.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A whole lemon
  • Baking soda
  • Serrated knife
  • Cutting surface
  1. Step 1

Take your whole lemon and serrated knife and cut the lemon in half, using a safe and suitable cutting surface.

  2. Step 2

Pour a small amount of the baking soda onto a small plate or bowl.

  3. Step 3

Take one half of your lemon and dip the flat, cut edge into the baking soda. Make sure that the lemon has a fairly thick coat of baking soda on it.

  4. Step 4

Begin to scrub your sink with the baking soda covered lemon half. You will notice some fizzing action. This is normal.

  5. Step 5

I prefer to allow the lemon and baking soda mixture to soak for several minutes after I have covered the sink. Then continue to scrub as necessary.

  6. Step 6

Rinse with water. Repeat with other lemon half if necessary or desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • As with any cleaning scrub, check a small area first to make sure no damage occurs on the surface.
