Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  1. Step 1

With the windows opened or the screen visible that you would like to take a screen shot of, find a key on your keyboard that says something close to Prnt Scrn. This is the Print Screen button.

  2. Step 2

Press the Prnt Scrn button. Go to your Windows Start menu. This is the button on the left hand bottom of your screen with the Windows emblem.

  3. Step 3

From the Start menu, go to All Programs and access the Accessories folder.

  4. Step 4

Once in the Accessories folder, open your Paint program. Once the program is opened, press CTRL and V at the same time (CTRL + V). This will paste the image into Paint.

  5. Step 5

Your Screen Shot that you just took now appears! Go to File > Save As and name the document before saving it to the place you'd like. You've just taken and saved your first screen shot.
