Potting a plant is important when moving the plant from a hyphronic state to potting soil.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Step One: You will need a pot that have proper drainage from the bottom. The potting soil should be environmentally safe and should be enough to fill the pot with soil about one quarter from the top.

  2. Step 2

Step Two: Place the potting soil in the pot, filling it as described in step one. Gently, place the roots on the halfway mark of soil and continue to fill until the soil is filled as described in step one. Do not place any of the plant’s leaves underneath the potting soil as you are planting the transplanting roots and not the roots or foliate of the plant.

  3. Step 3

Step Three: You will be tempted to put the soil flat once you have planted the plan in the potting soil. Do not pat the soil but leave it not pressed around the plant. The volume of the potting soil should anchor the plant just fine. Gently water around the plant where the roots are should be in the center of the pot. If water drain from the plant while watering it, then you may have over watered. Use a saucer to catch water of excess that may drain later from watering as the water must reach to ends of the roots.
