HOW TO SOOTH A FUSSY BABY

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • BABY
  1. Step 1

My first born had a awful colic, his hours-long wails had my husband and I pacing the floors, trying everything like running the vacuum cleaner, burping him,and singing every lullaby we could remember. Now after trying everything it all came down to this.

  2. Step 2

Swaddling which is wrapping your baby in a blanket, with arms tucked in at the sides."It gives a nurturing touch and stops limbs from flailing," Swaddled babys sleep longer.Be sure to swaddle tight so that the baby can stay in the supine (on his back) sleep position which has been proven to lower the rick of (SIDS)

  3. Step 3

Many new parents worry that there newborns rely too heavily on pacifiers, try letting them suck like a pacifier, or your nipple sucking is perhaps the element most familiar to parents. It helps the baby too just relax.

  4. Step 4

Swingging or gentle jiggling or swaying causes relaxation in a fussy baby the same way adults are calmed. The movement also echoes the constant motion your baby felt as a fetus.

  5. Step 5

By all means follow your instincts,If you feel that loud noise, swaddling or anything listed here is not right for you I just say if it feels right for you then it will feel right for your baby. Good Luck
