A good feng shui bedroom is a bedroom that is promotes harmony and feeling of ease. Making a good feng shui bedroom will make your room inviting, calm, and pleasurable to be in. Use these tips to get a harmonious bedroom in no time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Strength
  • Time
  1. Step 1

First, (as hard as it may be) rid your bedroom of all TV's, computers, or exercise equipment. Your feng shui is destroyed when technology enters the sleeping area.

  2. Step 2

The color of your room is very important when it comes to feng shui. In order to keep peace in the bedroom, the colors should be neutral and "skin colors". Choose colors between pale white and rich chocolate brown.

  3. Step 3

Several levels of lighting in the bedroom is a must. Lighting is the most important key to energy. A dimmer in the bedroom is good for saving money because it can give you different levels of lighting. Candles are a must!

  4. Step 4

The next, very important step is to rearrange your bed in the "Commanding position". Your bed should be easily approachable from both sides and have tables on each. Also, keep the bed as far as possible away from the door, while still being able to view the entrance. This will give you a sense of peace and security.

  5. Step 5

In the bedroom, practitioners suggest hanging your favorite piece of art on the wall opposite your bed. The last thing before you go to sleep and then first thing you see when you wake up should be something peaceful and joyful that inspires you. However, DO NOT place a mirror directly opposite, behind, or over the bed. This bounces too much energy around the room.

  6. Step 6

Last but definitly not least, clean up all clutter. In feng shui, clutter symbolizes unfinished business and stagnation in all around life. Most importantly DO NOT keep clutter underneath the bed. This blocks energy from moving efficiently around the room. Also, get rid of anything in your bedroom that reminds you of negative experiences in your life (yes, even that expensive headboard your ex husbands parents bought you).

Tips & Warnings
  • You may get addicted and begin to rearrange your whole house using feng shui!
