How to Apply Makeup to Enhance Your Features

I have loved makeup all of my life. I believe there are many beautiful items that help to enhance your natural features without appearing too made up. I believe every person who wears makeup applies it to their own taste which is wonderful. I have seen too much makeup on some people and I have seen people with no makeup and it truly depends on each individual taste which way they prefer.

Once a person enters into their "Golden" years, things become a little tricky. Unfortunately, lines appeared, uneven skin tones appear and often many women begin to feel unattractive. That always saddens me because I believe there is so much beauty to a person not only the way they look.

I want to share some tips that I use being in my "Golden" years (and so proud, I might add). Remember, enhancing our features helps us to feel better about ourselves and it gives us a boost in our confidence.

Here are the five items I use, love and encourage everyone to try.

1. BareMinerals Foundation
   
   It took me a very long to convince myself to purchase BareMinerals makeup because of the cost. That is just being honestly because I am a frugal type of person. After treating myself to this product, I will never use anything else again. This product truly does not feel like a powder, it has the best cover of any foundation I have ever used and it takes just a little bit to get the job done.
   
   I especially like the fact that BareMinerals is made without any preservatives, fillers or binders. It gives great coverage without the chemicals. This makeup works with your skin not against it. In the advertisements they say after using this product for a while, it can even help to correct some of your problem areas. Again to be honest, my first thought was yeah right! But after using this foundation for a month or two, I can already tell a difference in my skin especially those brown spots. I don't know how or why, I just know I am very thankful.
   
   You place a little of the powder in the cap, twirl your brush around capturing the minerals, tap and apply to your face in a circular motion.

2. BareMinerals multi tasking minerals and concealer brush
   
   This is my most favorite piece of makeup in all of the years I have been wearing it. This concealer is should actually be called "Miracle in a Bottle". I was completely amazed the first time I wore it. It has the best coverage than any other concealer I have ever worn. The concealer brush is like magical tool. Sometimes I think it is a magic wand!
   
   After you place the foundation on your face, tap some of the concealer in the powder lid and cover all of your troubled areas; you can even use this on your eyelids to even out the skin tone. Use it on dark circles, red areas, brown spots, anywhere you have problems. If I have some of the concealer left in my powder lid, I tap a little more powder into the lid and mix the concealer and powder together and go over my face one last time.
   
   One of the things I love about BareMinerals is this: It last ALL day long and washes off easily in the evening. I do know they sell a sample kit because that is what I ordered the first time from QVC.

3. Telescopic Mascara by L'Oreal
   
   This mascara makes your lashes long, full and enhances your eyes like no other mascara I have ever worn. I use a few coats of mascara to get my lashes the way I want them.
   
   I always apply mascara to the top lashes first, I use the tip of the brush on my bottom lashes in a sweeping motion, and than go back to the first top lashes I did and continue through the routine. When I am done, my eye lashes are exactly the way I want them.

4. Eye brighter
   
   I use a powdered eye brighter made by physician labs I believe. It is a multi-colored white. What I do is take the brush and lightly go under my eyebrow. This helps to adds brightness to your eyes and it also makes your eyes look wider.
   
   You do not want to have it so dark that it stands out, just be sure to blend it in. Again, a little goes a long way.

5. Maybelline lip plump
   
   This is a must have lip plumper! It makes your lips feel smooth, look full and gives them a youthful look. I have found that it even helps with those fine lines you get around your top lip. I love it, sometimes I feel like I am addicted to it because I use so much of it. They do have an assortment of colors, but I choose to wear the clear.
   
   So there it is, five easy steps to enhance your natural beauty, which will make you feel good, look good and give you that extra boost of confidence in yourself.
