PayPal is a great tool if you use eBay.com or need to receive electronic payments online. But once you have the money, how can you spend it? There are several choices...here's how.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PayPal Account
  1. Step 1

Transferring the funds from your PayPal Account to your existing bank account is the easiest way. You can link a bank account to your Paypal account, and once you have done this you can transfer the money from your Paypal to your regular bank account. There is typically a 3-5 day delay where the funds will be unavailable to you until they have cleared into your bank account. You are then free to access the funds. To link a bank account, visit the "Withdrawal" tab when you are logged into PayPal and follow the prompts.

  2. Step 2

If you do not have a bank account or you don't want to use your bank account, you can sign up for the Paypal Debit card. There are certain restrictions to this, I believe you have to be a Paypal member for 90 days before they will issue you a debit card to use the money. You will also be asked to upgrade your PayPal account in order to utilize this option.

  3. Step 3

If you don't want to sign up for the PayPal Business Debit Card or transfer the funds to your existing bank account, you can use the money on online stores. Many online merchants accept PayPal as a form of payment. If you see the PayPal logo on a website, that means that you can use it directly to pay for items on that site. You will proceed to checkout as you normally would, and then you select the Paypal option. You will then be directed to sign in to PayPal with your PayPal User ID (email) and Password. The funds will be debited directly from the balance of your PayPal account and credited to your purchase.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can get additional help from PayPal's customer service and they can walk you through setting up bank transfers and more.
