How to Organize Packed Moving Boxes

If you've ever moved, you know how hard it can be to find stuff you are looking for once it's been packed.

Finding items once you begin to unpack shouldn't require a search party!

Follow these easy steps to keep track of what you pack, and where you pack it!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Boxes
• Marker
• Notebook

1. Pack like items together. Try as best as you can to pack things that go together in the same box. Keep kitchen items together, bedroom items together, etc.

2. Assign each and every box a number. Label the box with a general title for what's inside. Such as "Linen Closet".

3. Use a notebook to list each box number and what is packed inside that box. You can be general and simply put "kitchen appliances", or more detailed by listing each individual item put into the box.

4. Store your packed boxes according to the room they came from. It makes it much easier to find something if you need to go back and look for it before your move!
