1
Prepare for your new body while you're pregnant or even before pregnancy. It's easier to get rid of those unwanted pounds around your belly if you're staying active.

3
Watch your calorie intake while you're pregnant. Although you are eating for two, try eating in moderation. Stick to foods that are good for both you and your baby.
-
4
Stay away from fats and sugars, which add extra pounds to your waistline. If you must consume fats/sugars, do so in moderation. Only purchase a slice of cake instead of an entire cake.
-
5
Give your body time to heal after having your baby. Try to get plenty of rest when you can and don't be afraid to ask for help.
-
6
Exercise with your baby. There are fun exercises you can do together during playtime. You can lie on the ground and place your child on your stomach as you do crunches and leg lifts. You can also take your baby for a walk in a stroller and incorporate standing side-crunches during the walk.
-
7
Work out when your baby is asleep and focus on aerobic and abdominal exercises. You'll relieve stress and enjoy some time for yourself as well.
-
8
Be patient with yourself and with your body. Each woman's body is different, so don't compare yourself with others. You may lose fat in other parts of your body before you lose it around your waist.
