Living in the country and growing up with mother's own recipes for making gravy is a tradition that was made in the south. Making good country gravy recipes are much easier and faster now, and are still delicious and popular with family meals.

This is one of the easiest and most simple way to make country gravy and country gravy recipes.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    **Gravy**

    Purchase a package of country gravy mix, you have a variety of
    brands to choose from.

  2. Step 2

    Combine by whisking the country gravy with one cup water in a
    sauce pan.

  3. Step 3

    Bring to boil, stirring continuously while boiling.

  4. Step 4

    Simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Step 5

    For creamier gravy use 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup milk and
    follow the same instructions.

  6. Step 6

    **Sausage Gravy**

    Fry sausage in a large skillet until brown (crumbled)
    Pour the cooked crumbled sausage in the already
    prepared gravy mix, and serve on biscuits or toast.

  7. Step 7

    **Another Gravy Treat**

    Add pan dripping from fried chicken, steak, or chicken fried steak
    to prepared gravy and serve over mashed , boiled or fried potatoes.

  8. Step 8

    Country gravy adds life to leftovers and give them that down-home taste and comfort to family meals.
