If you have never enjoyed the thrill of driving a manual shifter car(5-speed)then read on and learn how. It is more fun than just putting a car in drive.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a manual shifter car
  1. Step 1

The first thing to do is get in the car and put on your seat belt. After that you will need to crank the car and then press in the clutch with your foot. That is the pedal on the far left. It's clutch, brake, and gas pedal from left to right.

  2. Step 2

So once you have cranked the car, then you need to put the car in first gear and from there you need to ease the clutch up by letting off pressure while at the same time pressing the gas with a gentle foot.

  3. Step 3

Once the car is in motion let off the clutch completely, then as you hear the engine start to get higher in pitch you let off the gas and press the clutch while at the same time changing to second gear. You repeat the steps until you are in fifth gear. Driving a manual shifter is a lot of fun, it will take some practice if you are not familiar with it, but its worth it.
