Things You'll Need:
- very warm water
- bowl
- shampoo
- paper towels or towel
-
Step 1
Fill a bowl with very warm water. This will work best with the soap to remove bacteria without damaging the brushes.
-
Step 2
Dip each brush in the warm water starting with the smallest brush first. Make sure each brush is saturated with water.
-
Step 3
Put a very small amount of shampoo in the palm of your hand. Take the smallest brush and light swirl it in the shampoo until it is soapy. Continue with each brush adding more shampoo as necessary.
-
Step 4
Swirl each of the soapy brushes in the warm water. When the water becomes dirty dump it and refill with fresh water. Repeat until all the brushes have been rinsed and the water is no longer dirty.
-
Step 5
Wrap each brush in a paper towel and shake out excess water. Wrapping a brush in a paper towel helps to keep the bristles from fraying.
-
Step 6
Unwrap the brushes and allow to air dry lying flat. Rotate the brushes every 1-2 hours to keep the bristles from flattening on side and to get air all through the brush.
