You have been noticing that every time it rains, water leaks into your garage or into your house. You have also noticed that the accumulated water is causing water damage. You can also see light shining through the hole in the door. You know that a poor or improper seal is the cause of the water leak. Therefore, to prevent water leaks, you need to weather strip your door bottom. Below are steps detailing how to seal door leaks.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Precut vinyl clad seal for doors. Make sure the vinyl clad seal strips align with the groove on your door.

  2. Step 2

Press the white strips into the groove and secure. Make sure it is pressed all the way in.

  3. Step 3

Add additional weather strip all the way to the top of the door.

  4. Step 4

Use a pair of scissors to cut the excess. This is necessary because the vinyl clad seal comes in 40.5 inch strips. Use superglue to bind the two strips together to make it look like one long strip.

  5. Step 5

Close the door and check for any light leaks.
