This article is set up for those looking to place a child on a traveling team or fall baseball team to continue a baseball life.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Open Mind
  • A Player you want the best for
  • Ability to look forward
  1. Step 1

I am writing this article because I consult many young players in North Carolina with Lessons, Recruiting, Advising Parents. With all the different leagues and teams out there how do you figure out what to do to play on the most appropriate team. The best team might not always be the most winning team.

  2. Step 2

Know your child's ability to play on an elite team, moderate, or lower level team. This is the toughest decision. Depending on age this is crucial element of getting a player the best opportunity to learn the game. Some players are ready to play at higher levels before others. This not a bad thing because there are many late bloomers in the MLB.

  3. Step 3

Find a coach you trust. Trust is a tough to find but if the coach has the best interest at heart for the players, they will do the right things on and off the field. If you are not comfortable with the coach do not let you child play for them. This should not be based on playing time.

  4. Step 4

Go to watch a practice or tryout before you decide to play with a team. If it is like our area there are plenty of teams to play for finding the right one is difficult.

  5. Step 5

Contact me through ehow and comment. I will continue to write more articles but need feedback. I am also going to launch a site soon for more of this information.
