Things You'll Need:
- 1/4 inch tubing
- 16-ounce glass jar
- Brake fluid
- Squeeze pump
- Scissors

Step 1
Cut the 1/4-inch tubing into 3-foot lengths.

Insert one of the sections of tubing into one end of the squeeze pump. The pump is essentially a hollow rubber ball with two holes positioned 180 degrees away from each other.

Insert another section of the tubing into the other end of the pump. This makes up the basis of the brake bleeder.

Fill the 16-ounce glass jar 1/4 of the way with brake fluid.

Insert on end of the tube, it doesn't matter which end, into the brake fluid. The other end of the tubing goes over the bleeder screw on your vehicle's brake caliper or drum. To activate the bleeder, squeeze the pump, open the bleeder screw and release the pump. This will create a vacuum and draw fluid (and air) out of the brake system. Do not pump the pump with the bleeder screw open, or you will pump air into the brake system.
