Getting ready to go to college? Or are you currently in college, but can't afford it? Most people would tell you to get a loan, and pay for it when you graduate college. The problem with that is...what if you don't get a job immediately after you graduate college? That's why I suggest that you look into finding college scholarships that are available to you.
Finding college scholarships can be difficult if you don't know where to look. There are several websites that (such as fastweb) that say they are the best college scholarship search website, but I personally don't recommend using these websites. These websites tend to be unreliable, and they tend to send out a lot of spam to your email account, such as information to universities, and student loans.
The following is what I recommend you do to research free money for college:

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, go to fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the financial aid form. This could earn you several grants for free! You need your personal information, your parents or guardians personal information, and your college information.

  2. Step 2

Go to your local bookstore, or buy scholarship books online. The following books I recommend:
    College Board Financial Aid
    College Board Scholarships 2010
    Kaplan's Scholarships 2010

  3. Step 3

Go to your college's financial aid office, and see what kind of scholarships and grants your are eligible for.
