Cheese balls are a favorite holiday item. A blue cheese ball is one that isn't always as popular. But if you love blue cheese, you should give this a try.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 oz blue cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • hand mixer
  • parsley or nuts to cover the finished cheese ball
  • Saran Wrap
  1. Step 1
     

    Take the an 8 oz package of cream cheese and put it in a medium mixing bowl. Let it soften to room temperature.

  2. Step 2

    Now add the blue cheese, lemon juice, chives, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper into the bowl.

  3. Step 3
     

    Beat until well blended with the hand mixer.

  4. Step 4

    Roll the mixture into a ball shape.

  5. Step 5

    Roll the cheese ball in parsley or nuts. Make sure to cover the entire surface.

  6. Step 6

    Place the ball in a bowl lined with Saran Wrap. Twist the extra plastic wrap together at the top of the bowl.

  7. Step 7
     

    Allow the cheese ball to sit in the fridge overnight before serving. It allows the flavors to blend together better.

  8. Step 8

    Serve with fresh cut vegetables, crackers, or chips.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to allow extra length with the Saran Wrap so you can twist the top of it.
  • Must love blue cheese.
