1
Soak up wet stains with a paper towel. Put three layers of paper towel on top of the stain and add a small weight, such as a book, on top. Let it soak up for five minutes.

2
Remove dried-on liquid stains with a damp cloth and white vinegar. Pour just enough vinegar to dampen the stain and gently rub it with the cloth. Examine the jacket once it dries. It may take multiple attempts to remove the stain with this method, but the up side is that you will not harm the suede in the process.

3
Remove dry stains such as dried-on sauces, mud, soup or other stains of similar consistency with a clean pencil eraser. Rub the stain in the same way you would erase pencil markings on a piece of paper. The stain and the eraser residue can be brushed off afterward.
-
4
File scuff marks off with a fingernail file. Only file the area where the scuff mark is and be extremely cautious when doing it. If you file too hard, you risk damaging the suede. For that reason, it is best to take it slow.

5
Remove body oils stains with a degreasing agent made for cleaning suede. The collar and cuffs of suede jackets often get stains from sweat. Read the directions on the bottle carefully as all cleaning agents have slightly different directions.
