How to Merge on Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a graphical application that allows users to create vibrant images. Adobe comes with filters and layers that create effects in images. Merging images is a technique that takes several images and places them into one. One benefit of using the merge tool is that it combines lighting effects from very dark and very bright images into one clear picture.

Instructions

    • 1

Open all the images you wish to merge in Adobe Photoshop. This can be two images or several. Once the images are loaded, click the "File" menu and select the "Automate" option. Click the "Merge to HDR" option. A dialog box appears to create the settings for the merge.

    • 2

Select the images you wish to merge. You don't need to merge all the images opened, but the dialog box shows all the images open. Select each one that will be a part of the merge process.

    • 3

Click the "OK" button on the dialog window. Adobe Photoshop merges the images. When they are displayed, there is a slider bar that you will use to adjust the brightness. This is beneficial for images that are merged and become too dark.

Select the "Image" menu item and choose "Mode" to change the image to a printable format. Change the image to 16-bit or 8-bit to convert the picture to a format that can be printed to a printer.
