Rainbow bracelets are worn for various reasons, such as as a fashion statement, as a symbol of friendship or to show gay or lesbian pride. Making the bracelets is fairly easy and can be done in little time. A memory wire bracelet is a beautiful project when using rainbow color beads. Not only is it fun and easy, but the bracelet can also fit most everyone because of the unique coil design.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bracelet memory wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • Beads
  1. Step 1

Buy beads in the six colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. The more coils you want, the more beads you need because the bracelet gets wider. Consider buying clear beads to go between purple and red.

  2. Step 2

Use the wire cutters to snip off 2½ to 3 coils of memory wire. Hold the wire with one hand. Take the opposite end of it into the middle part of the pliers.

  3. Step 3

Move the round nose pliers away from you, running them along the wire. This will create a loop on the end of the wire, to keep the beads in place.

  4. Step 4

Slide the beads onto the wire at the other end, making sure to start with red then orange, yellow, green, blue and finally purple. Keep sliding beads until you have about a half-inch of wire left. Try to end with the end of the rainbow, as opposed to in the middle somewhere.

  5. Step 5

Make a loop in the end piece of wire with the round nose pliers. This will finish the rainbow bracelet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a charm to the end of the bracelet by attaching it to the loop, if you so desire.
