How to Make First Aid Kits
A first aid kit is an important component to every home. Having emergency medical supplies in one location allows you to quickly treat wounds and injuries and may prevent further damage until you are able to seek medical attention. You may purchase a premade kit at most convenience and drug stores, but it is easy and often cheaper to make your own. Tailor your kit to your family's needs and add new items when necessary. Tips & Warnings
Purchase new items to replace what you use as soon as possible. Check the expiration dates on items such as ointments and over-the-counter medicines. Buy replacements as these items expire. Most first aid items are reimbursable under flexible spending accounts.
Keep the kit out of the reach of small children and make sure all medications are in child-proof bottles.
