How to Get Sticky Mouse Traps Off of Birds
When removing pests such as mice and rats from the home, one method is to use sticky mouse traps. These traps cause the animal to stick the glue, and as they struggle they become covered in sticky muck and suffocate. Although this method of pest capture is considered cruel by many people, they are still widely sold and widely used. An issue that can occur when using glue mouse traps is that other unsuspecting animals, such as birds, can get caught in them. If you come across a bird stuck in a glue trap, there are a few things you can do to save the animal's life. Subsequently, this method also works on mice.

1
Cover the bird's head with the small cloth. This will calm the bird down, as well as keep it from inhaling the corn starch or flour.
-
2
Sprinkle corn starch or flour on the areas of glue that the bird is not stuck to. If the bird continues to struggle, the layer of corn starch or flour will keep it from getting stuck to those areas.
