Instructions

    • 1

Place you Woolrich down comforter into the washing machine. If you have a Woolrich duvet cover you can wash them together if room permits. Make sure your washing machine is big enough to accommodate the large comforter. I have a Woolrich white goose down comforter and it barely fits into my washing machine. Many down alternative comforters are smaller. If your washing machine is too small, it will cause the down blanket to become scrunched up, making it impossible for all the soap to rinse out during the cycle.

    • 2

Turn your washing machine to the "normal" wash setting using only cold water. On the tag of your Woolrich down comforter is will specify using cold water only. Make sure the load size is also on the largest setting available.

    • 3

Once the water is covering your Woolrich down comforter half way, add a cup of non- bleach laundry detergent into the water. Make sure the soap is not directly on any dry part of the goose down comforter as it can sometimes leave a stain.

    • 4

Put your Woolrich down comforter into the dryer and set it on the low delicate or tumble dry cycle. Some people like to use high heat as it dries the thick down quicker, but it will also shrink your blanket. If your Woolrich down comforter is still wet after the first delicate cycle is complete, just throw it in on the delicate cycle again until it's completely dry.
