Step 1
REMOVE DEBRIS - Remove your dentures from your mouth and scrub them thoroughly with a toothbrush, water and baking soda.
If your dentures do not have any stains on them, you can skip to Step 4. -
Step 2
CLEAN - Clean stains from your dentures by soaking them in hydrogen peroxide and water. Use regular household peroxide found at your local drug store next to the rubbing alcohol in the first aid aisle.
Mix 1/3 cup hydrogen peroxide with 2/3 cup water in a glass bowl. Soak your dentures for at least 1/2 hour. You can soak them longer or overnight if necessary.
If your dentures are stain free at this point, you can skip to Step 4.
This technique is good for mild stains, if you have heavier stains, go on to Step 3. -
Step 3
DEEP CLEAN - Soak your dentures in a mixture of bleach and water for at least one half hour or overnight if you have touch stains.
Use 1 part regular household bleach mixed with 3 parts water. Mix them in a glass bowl only.
Make sure that your dentures are completely covered by the mixture.
Do not put your dentures back into your mouth until they have been thoroughly rinsed as directed below. -
Step 4
RINSE - Rinse your dentures under cool running water for at least three minutes. It is best if you can no longer smell the bleach.

Step 5
FRESHEN - Brush your dentures with your favorite toothpaste and then rinse them again before inserting them into your mouth.

PREVENT - Prevent stains from building up on your dentures by limited or eliminating stain causing foods and activities. Things such as smoking, drinking coffee or tea and eating berries.
