How to Make Cheesy Tater Tot Casserole

Quick and easy Tater Tot casserole is delicious. It is simple enough for children to put together as they are learning to cook and fast enough for a weeknight dinner. Most kids especially like the cheese and Tater Tots, and won't even mind the green beans. If your family doesn't care for cheese soup, you can substitute another cream soup.

    Things You'll Need

    • Ground beef
    • 1 can french slice green beans
    • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
    • Frozen Tater Tots or potato nuggets

        Preheat oven to 350 F.

        Brown the ground beef, crumbling it as it cooks. Drain away all of the fat.

        Spread the ground beef in a layer in the bottom of a casserole dish.

        Drain the green beans well. Rinse the beans if you wish to reduce the salt content. Spread the green beans over the ground beef in the casserole dish.

        Open the can of cheddar cheese soup. Spread the undiluted soup over the green beans.

        Arrange the Tater Tots or other potato nuggets in a single layer over the cheese soup. Make sure the Tater Tots are touching but not overlapping.

        Bake about 1 hour, or until the Tater Tots are crisp. Since the beef is already cooked, the cooking is to heat the casserole and to cook the potato nuggets.

    Tips & Warnings

    • VERY GOOD meal. Add some dinner rolls and it's complete

    • excellent left overs

    • can use any cream soup in place of the cheddar cheese

    • While other cream soups can be substituted, avoid tomato soup.
