starting a tropical aquarium

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 gallon aquarium or larger
  • water conditioner
  • decorations
  • gravel
  • thermometer
  • heater
  • top for the tank
  1. Step 1

    make sure all of the fish tank and or decorations, heater and or gravel has been rinsed prior to addtion to the tank

  2. Step 2

    Place fish tank where you would like to keep it. Making sure it is not in front of a window or to near an air vent because if it's to near a window it will turn green with algae and near a vent quicker water evaporation.

  3. Step 3

    Add water and water condtioner to the water going into the fisth tank according to the directions on the bottle.

  4. Step 4

    Add gravel and plants, and or any decorations at this time, along with athermomoter and heater.

  5. Step 5

    Place lid with lights ontop of aquairum and then wait at least a week before adding fish. Go to your local petstore and ask them to water test you water for you after a week, if all is well then you may add fish and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • make sure that you wash off everything before adding it to your fish tank
  • do not place your tank in front of a window! to prvent algae!
  • do not put in or around an air vent so as to prevent quick water evaporation
